Guangxi Huaren Medical and Health Research Institute was jointly founded by Guangxi Huaren Medical Science and Technology Group in 2022 in conjunction with major universities and organizations at home and abroad. The institute is docked to the world scientific and technological frontiers in the fields of basic medical research, regenerative medicine research, innovative drug research, health management and experimental animals, and is oriented to the regional or national needs, gathering forces to carry out original and leading scientific and technological research.
For the short board of basic medical research in Guangxi, we will carry out basic research on the functional genome of disease-related genes, gene expression regulation, proteomics, molecular immunity, and medical genetics, as well as medical research combined with clinical research;
For the weakness of regenerative medicine research in Guangxi, focusing on stem cell technology, molecular gene regulation technology, somatic cell reprogramming technology, tissue engineering technology, tissue and organ substitutes, and regenerative medicine, we will establish high-level research, production and application bases of a certain scale, and form an effective technology development system;
To address the shortfalls in innovative drug research, carry out research on small molecules, peptides and oligonucleotides targeting major diseases such as cancer, diabetes and metabolic diseases;
For the short board in the field of health management, oriented by the major livelihood needs, strive for multidisciplinary and multi-method integration and crossover to analyze the molecular basis of physiology and health, accurately intervene in the state of sub-health, disease prevention and treatment, and improve the quality of health of public groups;
Aiming at the shortage of high-standard laboratory animal resources in Guangxi and the whole country, we will build a non-human primate laboratory, an SPF-grade small animal laboratory, and an internationalized breeding base for non-human primate laboratory animals (crab-eating monkeys).
