One of the biggest problems plaguing human organ transplants is the rapid damage and decay of the organ in its isolated state. From the moment an organ such as the heart or lungs is disconnected from the organ donor, doctors have only four to six hours to connect it to the new patient's blood supply, for the liver it's 8-12 hours, and for the kidneys it can take up to a day. This results in more than 60 per cent of donor organs not ending up in time to reach patients in need of a transplant. Alert, we have over 100 confirmed cases of monkeypox!
Data from the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) show that from 2 June to 30 June 2023, 106 new confirmed cases of monkeypox were reported in mainland China (excluding Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan), of which 48 cases were reported in Guangdong Province, 45 cases in Beijing City, 8 cases in Jiangsu Province, 2 cases in Hubei Province, 2 cases in Shandong Province, and 1 case in Zhejiang Province, with no serious illnesses or deaths at present. Although the virus does not cause high mortality in immunocompetent individuals, it can cause serious illness and death if it spreads to immunocompromised individuals, children, the elderly, pregnant women, and individuals with comorbidities such as diabetes.

CCK8 (Cell Counting Kit-8) is a cell proliferation assay kit developed by DOJINDO.
